The next step after Dive Guide / Divemaster
After becoming a Dive Guide or Divemaster you might be wondering what is the next step. Maybe you are thinking of becoming an instructor like the amazing who thought you all your previous courses.
Assistant Instructor is the next professional certification after becoming a Dive Guide. It is a subset of the Instructor Development Course. It does not take much after this level to become an instructor on your own, you can read more on the Instructor Training Course (ITC) page.
What is included in the Assistant Instructor Course
Everything mandatory or required is included in the course prices. It also includes a digital certification and access to the agency application. If you have any questions you can visit our FAQ page or contact us directly.

- The SSI instructor
- Full tanks
- SSI Assistant Instructor digital certification card
Professional fees with the agency are payable directly to SSI are not included in the price.
Course requirements
- SSI Dive Guide / Divemaster or equivalent ( certifications from other dive organizations might cover requirements )
- 18 years or older
- 60 logged dives totaling at least 60 hours of dive time
